"Reinvent Your Enterprise" by Jack Bergstrand (founder of Brand Velocity) has reenergized my interest in the systems that could be implemented to create a positive impact to Knowledge Worker Productivity.

A "madeup" example that has emerged from this interest is the "formalization of a succession plan." If a business entity built a succession plan that was validated by an independent source and insured by a third party.....would the plan be considered a tangible asset?

Would technology's role in the creation, validation and protection of tangible assets within the succession plan.....spur investment and economic growth?

Would a validated succession plan instill employee confidence and customer loyalty?

Would it make a difference to your decisions regarding:

1. whether to accept a job offer from a company
2. whether to invest/purchase/merge with a company
3. whether to purchase goods and services from a company
4. how to sell to a company

---If you knew the relative strength of a company's succession plan compared to their competitors would your decisions be influenced? Would this knowledge be as important to your decisions as the generally available financial information?

Should public companies be required to reveal the viability of their succession plans in a knowledge driven economy?
