Shaping Modern Medicine. From Bench to Bedside The mission of SJTRI is to take research findings from the bench to the bedside -- to translate laboratory discoveries into effective treatments for patients. Unlike any other translational research institute, SJTRI mixes industry and academic staff, provides access to the medical expertise and resources of the Saint Joseph’s Health System, and offers state-of-the-art facilities. SJTRI has helped to bring two drug-eluting stents to the commercial market, has guided two international pharmaceutical and medical device companies into the U.S. market, and has collaborated on Atlanta-based CardioMEMS’ EndoSure AAA wireless pressure measurement system U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval.
