TAG Wants a Mobile Webpage!

The Technology Association of Georgia, in conjunction with its IT Enablement Task Force, is currently seeking proposals from qualified individuals or organizations are interested in developing a TAG specific mobile webpage.

About TAG

TAG is a leading technology industry association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of the state's technology industry. TAG provides leadership in driving initiatives in the areas of policy, capital, education and giving, and also brings the technology community together through events, initiative programs and networking opportunities. TAG serves as an umbrella organization for 27 special interest groups, or societies, including Women in Technology (WIT). Additionally, TAG’s charitable arm, the TAG Education Collaborative, is focused on helping science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education initiatives thrive. For more information visit the TAG website at www.tagonline.org, TAG’s community website at www.TAGthink.com, and TAG’s video content site, www.TAGtvonline.org.

Why does TAG want a Mobile Webage?

TAG’s constituency is typically quite technology-enabled, and it is our goal to both accommodate them and also to be a thought leader in our use of technology. Having a well designed mobile webpage is consistent with these goals.

 Objective and Goals

TAG invites those interested to visit the TAG website (wwwTAGonline.org) and the TAG Community website (www.TAGthink.com) and the video content site (www.TAGtvonline.com) and, based the content of these sites and your knowledge of TAG, develop the strategy, content, and design of the TAG mobile webpage. We are looking for a partner who brings recommendations and thoughts on what we should do to deliver the highest value to our members at the most appropriate investment, as well as how to achieve those capabilities and insights into how they think this capability will affect TAG. Insights into what similar organizations have done and are doing nationally and globally would be very useful. How the page would work with social media sites such as Twitter should be outlined specifically.

In terms of features and capabilities, at a minimum users should be able to access the TAG calendar and register for events as well as view their community profiles, post comments, and be notified of any activity (responses to their postings, friend requests, etc.) Survey features to survey people at a certain event are another area where a mobile webpage could also be beneficial.
