Carrie Bates created a new topic TechBridge Announces 2013 Digital Ball in the forums.
Atlanta – November 6, 2012 - Atlanta-based TechBridge, a nonprofit that leverages technology to empower the nonprofits that impact our community, is pleased to announce that the 13th annual TechBridge Digital Ball is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2013. The event, to be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, is the chief fundraising event for TechBridge and is recognized for drawing the who’s who of the technology community.

Co-chaired by Lisa McVey, CIO of McKesson Provider Technologies and Ed Steinike, VP & CIO of The Coca-Cola Company, the 2013 Digital Ball is expected to bring together 800+ guests, including leaders in the business, IT, and nonprofit communities.

“TechBridge is an incredible organization,” said McVey. “It is so important that corporations like McKesson get involved. Whether it’s through financial support, IT services, or volunteering - it’s about being part of this community. It’s an honor to give back to the nonprofits served by TechBridge.”

"The Digital Ball series of events brings together an unsurpassed group of technology leaders who channel their skills and resources through TechBridge for maximum impact on our community," added Steinike. "I encourage you to join us and, as the Digital Ball Co-Chair and fellow TechBridge sponsor, I look forward to welcoming you and working with you."

Accenture will once again serve as Presenting Sponsor of the Digital Ball and Technology Innovation Award, carrying on the tradition it began in 2001.

"Accenture is excited to continue our long-standing relationship with TechBridge as we return for our 13th year as the presenting sponsor of the Digital Ball. We look forward to another great year of helping nonprofits creatively use technology to fulfill their missions, become high performance organizations and dramatically increase their impact in Atlanta," said Craig Ramsey, Accenture's managing director.

Interest in the 2013 Digital Ball is at an all-time high. TechBridge has already sold half of its available sponsorships and has completely sold out of its Kilobyte Level sponsorships. Many leading corporations including The Coca-Cola Company, First Data, Google, McKesson, Turner Broadcasting System, and Verizon have already committed to sponsoring the annual event celebrating the technology community’s commitment to philanthropy. Carrie Bates created a new topic TechBridge TechEd: Manage Nonprofit Info with Salesforce.com in the forums.
DATE/TIME Wednesday, August 29, 2012

Registration and Light Breakfast: 8:30am ‐ 9:00am
Presentation and Discussion: 9:00am ‐ 11:00am

What if you could have all the information you need about your donors, volunteers, grants, and clients in one place, which you could access any time from any location? And what if the tool you need to house this information came without an annual price tag?

The good news is nonprofits today are doing just that by leveraging Salesforce.com solutions.

Salesforce.com provides a centralized data hub, where you can track all information that is important to your organization's ability to deliver on its mission. By simply having access to a web browser, you can view and update key client data; keep track of grant deadlines and measure/report on outcomes; share reports and metric dashboards with colleagues; house donor information; track inventories, and so much more. And thanks to generous software donations from the Salesforce.com Foundation, this can all be yours without the burden of having to maintain a server/software in your office, and without costly annual fees.

It's time to consolidate all of that data you have today living in spreadsheets, documents, disparatesystems and paper folders. It's time to share information and measure outcomes without a manipulation marathon. It doesn't have to be difficult. Come and learn how nonprofits are using technology to take their operating effectiveness to the next level and increase their capacity to serve the community:

‐ See actual examples of how nonprofits just like yours are transforming their business and how you can leverage their best practices
‐ Hear lessons learned on how to make this transition successfully
‐ Understand what resources are available to you
‐ Learn how to get started!

LOCATION
The Home Depot, 2455 Paces Ferry Rd NW (Note: This is NOT on W. Paces Ferry!), Atlanta, GA 30339

Carrie Bates created a new topic TechBridge Partners with Google to Offer Google Apps Seminar for Nonprofits in the forums.
Atlanta, GA, May 25, 2012 – TechBridge is pleased to announce a partnership with Google to offer a seminar on Exploring Google Apps for Nonprofits, June 12, 13, and 14. The Atlanta-based nonprofit is joining Google during GoogleServe week in presenting overviews of Google Apps including Gmail, Youtube, Google Analytics, and more.

Google Apps offers communication, collaboration and publishing tools, including email accounts on an organization's domain (like jdoe@example.org). With Google Apps, a nonprofit organization can decrease its total cost of ownership and offer staff the very latest innovation from Google. It's quick and easy to get started even if a nonprofit doesn't have a dedicated IT staff.

Experts from Google will offer sessions on the following:
- Gmail: Email with 25 GB of storage per account, mail search tools and integrated chat.
- Google Docs/Drive: Create and share documents without managing attachments.
- YouTube: Share your videos with friends, family, and the world.
- Google Analytics: Get rich insights into your website traffic and marketing effectiveness.
- Google+: Share the right things with just the right people using Circles, Messenger and Hangouts.
- Google Grants: Apply for a Google Grant for AdWords and/or Google Apps.

The seminar will be repeated on each of the three days noted above. The program on each day will follow the same format: welcome/overview followed by break-out sessions and concluding with a wrap-up. During the break-out sessions, attendees will attend four 25-minute, small-group sessions focused on the specific functionality above. Registrants will be asked to select and rank by preference five subjects from the list above.

On Friday, June 15, a bonus offering will be made for nonprofits who have received a Google AdWords Grant. This is an opportunity for organizations to consult one-on-one with an expert and receive coaching regarding how to analyze and optimize the results from AdWords. Consultations will last 30 minutes and are open to nonprofits only.

Thanks to Google's generosity, this seminar is offered to attendees at no charge.

Priority attendance will be given to nonprofit attendees; however, other attendees are welcome if space permits.

Google AdWords Coaching is available only to nonprofits.

Go to www.techbridge.org/services/google.aspx to register.
