TAG Societies

The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is, at its essence, an umbrella organization for a large variety of smaller groups, or "Societies," which TAG divides into three categories: People, Function, and Industry. Each Society is represented by their own board or directors, sponsors, and hosts their own regular events. The Society pages on TAGthink are where the people involved in these groups connect and share in-depth information on a daily basis.

Investing in Technology's Future

Join the TAG Consulting Society on Tuesday, March 16 as we take an inside look at "Investing in Technology's Future." With venture capital investing at its lowest point in more than a decade, our panel of prominent experts will discuss the market's outlook for start-up capital. Entrepreneurs and the consultants who support them will receive practical advice about how to operate in this tough fund-raising environment. Our panelists include those with the perspective of providing capital as well as a seasoned capital-raising entrepreneur. This intimate look into the state of our capital marketplace will address the following:

  • What are some proven strategies for finding capital?
  • What technologies or industries have the best chance of getting funded?
  • How are technology companies valued these days?
  • Is venture capital still an option?

The panel discussion will be interactive, allowing you to ask your own questions about the topics most important to organizations seeking capital today.

Our Panelists:

  • Steve Tye, Managing Director at Croft & Bender
  • Alan Koenning, Fund Manager of the UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund
  • Dolan Falconer, President & CEO, ScanTech Holdings, LLC
