Data Recovery via Enterprise Online – Data Protection Solutions From A – Z: The Complete Online Data Protection eBook
Start with the premise of the worst possible scenario: complete and total loss of every site where you conduct business with no data protection solutions or backup. Are you protected to that level today? Chances are very high that the answer to that question is a horrifying “NO!” Very few companies, indeed, would be able to recover one server (with all of its applications, settings, and updates), much less an entire site (or sites) of such servers and desktops. The events of the last decade have made it painfully clear that entire sites can be lost, and companies are beginning to turn their attention to the ability to recover from entire site loss. In addition to the potential damage these threats introduce in terms of lost data or corrupted files, there are now regulatory issues associated with ensuring data protection. Healthcare has its own privacy regulations in the form of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996), and infringements can result in significant punishments and fines. The bottom line is that you have to protect your organization’s devices and network. Until recently, such data protection solutions were cost prohibitive, and the risk of a site loss or server loss (which is low) was a reality that many companies had no choice but to face.
